MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving program once again earned Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for the team's excellent academic showing in the spring semester.
The Waves earned their spot on the list after posting a grade-point average of 3.56. This is the 13th consecutive semester that Pepperdine has been recognized by the CSCAA.
"Coach (Ellie) Monobe once again showed that success in the pool and classroom go hand in hand," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Pepperdine and Athletic Director (Steve) Potts, President (Jim) Gash and Faculty Athletic Rep Dr.
Don Shores can and should be proud of these 24 women."
Fourteen of the Waves earned Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive All-Academic honors at the conclusion of a terrific 2020-21 season. In Monobe's first season in charge of the Waves, Pepperdine finished second at the PCSC Championships and had five individual champions and four first-place relays.
A total of 721 programs from 426 different institutions earned the CSCAA honor for the spring semester.
