#6 Waves Blank Zags 7-0 to Remain Spotless in WCC

MALIBU, Calif. – In tried-and-true Waves fashion, the sixth-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis squad blanked Gonzaga 7-0 in Malibu in their penultimate home contest of the season.

Stellar sophomore Lisa Zaar earned the clinch for Pepperdine, going 6-1, 6-1 on court five.

In a day that was all Waves, all the time, the wins began in doubles. Lisa Zaar and Taisiya Pachkaleva delivered the first blow on court two, going 6-1 and making way for the pair of Ashley Lahey and Shiori Fukuda to claim the doubles point on court one.

In singles, the Waves saw similar success, where Lahey opened with a win on court one. #21 Jessica Failla followed suit, holding her opponent to only one point on court two.

Clinching Zaar won 6-1, 6-1 on court five to secure the bag for Pepperdine at 4-0 overall and the sophomore's 15th-straight win. Pachkaleva was next up, earning her 17th-straight win this dual season.
