Malibu, Calif. — After a nearly two-month break in competition, the Pepperdine divers will take center stage at their Pepperdine Diving Invitational on Friday, March 11.
PCSC divers from Azusa Pacific, Biola and Fresno Pacific will also compete at the invitational, which starts at 10 a.m. Both the 1-meter and the 3-meter dives will be featured.
The Waves are expected to be led by junior Paulina Holmberg (Apple Valley, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) — a two-time PCSC Diver of the Week award winner this season. According to the PCSC's most recent individual rankings, Holmberg ranks first in the 1-meter dive; her freshman teammates Bri Cannon (Katy, Texas./Katy HS) and Anna Johnson (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme HS) rank third and fifth, respectively, in the same event.
Pepperdine's divers last competed at a dual meet against San Diego State on Jan. 29, which was cut short due to rain. At that meet, Holmberg led the Waves with a fifth-place performance in the 1-meter dive. The meet's 3-meter dive was canceled.
The meet will be livestreamed on the WaveCasts via the WCC Network.
