The Waves (9-2) were too much for the Lions (4-6) the entire game, and kept up the attack in all 32 minutes of play.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Lions started the scoring off, getting the first goal of the game. Christian Hosea got the Waves' first goal to tie the game. Sean Ferrari then converted a five-meter penalty to tie the game again at two. The Waves took their first lead of the day on a Jake Howerton goal to make it 3-2. The Lions scored at the end of the quarter, and the two teams were tied going into the second period of play.
Pepperdine came out strong in the second quarter, getting goals from Nico Tierney and Balazs Kosa to take a 5-3 lead. After an LMU goal, Curtis Jarvis gave the Waves another two-goal lead at 6-4 at the half.
In the second half, the Waves amped the scoring up, as Austin Smit got two goals in a row and Jarvis got his second of the game in the third, taking a 10-4 lead into the final eight minutes of play. Nicholas Fichmann and Kosa got goals to start the fourth, followed by two goals from Nico Tierney. Jarvis completed his hat trick with the Waves' last goal of the day, capping the victory.
