MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine men's and women's track teams have released the meet schedules for the 2020 season.
Head Coach Sylvia Mosqueda said: "I am looking forward to the 2020 track season with some of our new freshmen that I believe are going to do amazing. The freshmen will be able to start their careers at the Dr Martin Luther Jr King Invite, which will be really good. I believe our overall season is going to be great with all our returners, as well. There are lots of new records to be set this season."
Â
The women's team launch the 2020 season with three indoor meets, starting at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invite on January 24th and 25th in Albuquerque, N.M. Following the season opener, there will be two back-to-back weekends in Boise, Idaho for Jackson's Nike Boise Invite on February 7th and 8th and the Boise State Challenge on February 15th.
Â
Both the men and women will be back for a string of Southern California meets to begin the outdoor season, starting at the yearly UC Santa Barbara/Westmont (Santa Barbara, Calif.) trimeet on February 22nd. Next, the Waves will race in the Long Beach Opener Invite (Long Beach, Calif.) on March 7th and the Occidental Distance Carnival (Los Angeles, Calif.) on March 14th.
Â
On March 28th, Pepperdine will travel north to San Luis Obispo, California, to race in the Cal Poly SLO Invitational before returning home for the Pomona Pitzer Invitational (Claremont, Calif.) on April 4th.
Â
The Waves will compete in the annual Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, California, on April 16th through the 18th before concluding the regular-season at the Occidental Invitational in Los Angeles on May 9th.
