MALIBU, Calif. – A total of 124 Pepperdine student-athletes were recognized today with spots on the 18th annual West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
The WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll pays tribute to its student-athletes that possess at least a 3.0 grade-point average. The 10 WCC schools put 1,480 student-athletes on the list, a conference record, from the 15 sports that the league sponsored last year.
 
Student-athletes received Gold Honors for having a GPA between 3.75 and 4.00, Silver Honors for 3.50 to 3.74 and Bronze Honors for 3.00 to 3.49.
 
Pepperdine's breakdown by sport is as follows: Women's Soccer 22, Baseball 21, Women's Cross Country 17, Women's Beach Volleyball 14, Men's Cross Country 10, Women's Indoor Volleyball 10, Women's Basketball 8, Men's Basketball 6, Men's Golf 5, Women's Tennis 5, Men's Tennis 4, Women's Golf 4.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference.
