PALO ALTO, California – The Pepperdine men's golf team couldn't make up any ground on Friday at The Goodwin and stands in 15th place after two rounds.

The Waves have shot 583 (293-290) at the par-70 Stanford Golf Course over the two days. They're only four shots out of 10th place and six shots out of seventh. Pepperdine is one of 13 top 50 teams in the 27-team field.

PLAYER SCORES

Junior Joshua McCarthy (Danville, Calif./De La Salle HS) is tied for 27th at 143 (70-73). He had three birdies today.
Freshman Joe Highsmith (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) is tied for 47th at 146 (74-72). After a slow start he was flawless over his final nine holes and posted all three of his birdies.
Junior Clay Feagler (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Dana Hills HS) is tied for 60th at 147 (75-72). He had four birdies on Friday.
Sophomore RJ Manke (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Preparatory School) is also tied for 60th at 147 (74-73). He had three birdies today.
Freshman Derek Hitchner (Minneapolis, Minn./The Blake School) is tied for 112th at 154 (75-79).

UP NEXT

Pepperdine is paired with Santa Clara and Northwestern for Saturday's third and final round. The trio of schools will tee off in the afternoon wave beginning at 1:20 p.m. on the 10th tee.
