MALIBU, Calif. – After a 6-1 win over UC Santa Barbara at home, the Waves will host #6 UCLA on Wednesday at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. Following their match against UCLA, Pepperdine will travel to Texas to face #41 Rice on Friday and #8 Texas on Saturday.

Adrijana Lekaj has composed the most singles wins for the Waves with 18, including the most wins for the Waves in the dual season with a 5-2 output.
Anastasia Iamachkine claims the next highest record with 13 wins this season including going 3-1 in the dual campaign,
Satsuki Takamura has four singles wins this dual season so far.

Jessica Failla has posted an 9-5 overall record and
Dzina Milovanovic currently holds an 10-7 record on the season.
In doubles this season, the Waves have collected a 10-8 record for a .556 success rate. #17 Failla and Iamachkine have amassed a 10-4 overall record including going 5-1 against ranked opponents. When paired with Lahey, Iamachkine and Lahey hold a #59 ranking and have posted a 2-1 record in dual play.
OPPONENT NOTES: Pepperdine hosts UCLA this week in Malibu. All-time, the Waves have gone 16-55 against the Bruins, dating back to 1977. Most recently, the Waves have won three out of their four matchups with the Bruins between 2016 and 2018.
The Bruins are currently 9-2 this dual season, losing only to #1 UNC and #17 USC. In singles UCLA has three ranked players, #10 Elysia Bolton, #64 Jada Hart, and #110 Abi Altick. The Bruins also have three ranked double pairs, #10 Andrews/Broomfield, #16 Bolton/Hart, and #48 Altick/Miller.
The Waves have gone 4-1 all-time against the Owls dating back to 1985. The last time that the Waves met the Owls was in 2013 where they lost 3-4 on neutral ground.
#41 Rice currently holds a 7-5 record in the dual campaign, falling to Baylor, #19 LSU, #10 Kansas, #8 Texas, and #25 Texas Tech. The Owls have one ranked singles player, #86 Michaela Hart and one ranked doubles pair #53 Niezgoda/Smirnova.
When facing #8 Texas, Pepperdine amassed a 11-14 all-time record. The first time the Waves met the Longhorns was in 1981 where they won 5-4 at home. The Waves have also won all of the last four matches against the Longhorns between 2011 and 2016, winning their last matchup 4-0 on neutral ground in 2016.

LAST WEEKEND AGAINST UCSB: Last weekend, the Waves hosted UC Santa Barbara. Lahey and Iamachkine paired up to win their doubles match on court one but UCSB picked up the doubles point by winning on courts two and three. The Waves went on to sweep the singles matches to win 6-1. Pepperdine picked up singles wins from Lahey, Iamachkine, Lekaj, Milovanovic, Takamura, and
Daria Kuczer.
ORACLE/ITA RANKINGS: The Waves are ranked #20 overall in the Oracle-ITA rankings. In doubles, the pair of
Jessica Failla and Anastasia Iamachkine are ranked #17 and Ashley Lahey and Iamachkine are ranked #59. Two Waves are ranked in singles #56 Lahey and #61 Failla.
