MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's basketball team had three players in double digits in Thursday's 83-60 loss to West Coast Conference-leading Gonzaga. Barbara Sitanggan was just two assists shy of a triple-double.

The Waves (19-9, 12-5 WCC) were within nine points with just one quarter to play, when a 20-3 run gave the Bulldogs (26-3, 13-4 WCC) the victory.

GAME RECAP
The Waves started hot in the first quarter after Gonzaga scored the first four points of the game. A 9-1 run for the Waves gave them a 19-9 lead with just two minutes left in the first. Pepperdine eventually led 21-15 going into the second quarter. With six minutes left in the half, the Bulldogs took the lead at 26-25, a lead that they would never relinquish. An 8-0 run for Gonzaga led to a 38-30 lead with just a minute and a half left in the half, but the Waves kept close, scoring the final four points of the half to go in to the break trailing just 38-34.

Pepperdine pulled to within three points multiple times in the third, but could not pull all the way back to even. The Bulldogs took a 57-50 lead into the final ten minutes. The fourth quarter was all Gonzaga, as the Waves scored just 10 points in the final 10 minutes. A 20-3 run to end the game solidified Gonzaga's 23-point victory.
