Malibu, Calif. –The No. 6 Pepperdine men's water polo team hosts No. 8 Long Beach State on Saturday for a Golden Coast Conference matchup followed by the annual alumni game.
Game #28: Saturday (Nov. 9) at 12 p.m. at
Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif.: No. 6 Pepperdine (20-7, 2-1 GCC) vs. No. 8 Long Beach State (14-11, 1-2 GCC).
Conference Leaders: Balazs Kosa leads all Golden Coast Conference players in goals scored (75) and points (110) and is tied for the conference lead in assists with 35.
Marko Asic has 55 goals, second in the GCC and 72 points, good for fifth. C
urtis Jarvis is also in the top 10 in goals (41), assists (31) and total points (72).
Kyle McKenney is fourth in the conference with 110 saves on the year.

Last Week: The Waves hosted three games last week. The first was on Saturday, as the Waves defeated #12 San Jose State 11-8 in a GCC matchup. Then on Sunday, the team hosted the first ever Pepperdine Invite, defeating Cal Lutheran 15-8 and Concordia Irvine 19-8.
Marko Asic had 10 goals on the weekend, including a hat trick against GCC rival San Jose State.
Notable: The Waves have two hallmark wins thus far in 2019: On Oct. 12, Pepperdine defeated #6 California 13-12 for the first time since 2008. Then one week later, the Waves defeated USC 13-12 for the first time since 2005 ...
Marko Asic has been steadily climbing the all-time goal scoring ranks this year, and is currently fifth all-time with 237 goals. He is just 2 goals behind his father Pero on the list, who has 239 and will likely pass him this week ...
Chris Dilworth has 161 career goals, which puts him 16th all-time and 11 goals behind Adam Hewko in 15th ... Sunday's victory over Concordia gave the Waves 20 wins for the first time since 2008.
Player of the Week: Two members of the team have earned Player of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks.
Balazs Kosa earned it on 10/10 after his performances against Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and
Marko Asic brought home the honors on 10/17 after helping the Waves defeat Cal.
