MALIBU, California – Both Pepperdine-Gonzaga men's basketball games in 2020 will air on the ESPN family of networks, the West Coast Conference office announced today.
The January 4 game in Spokane will tip at 7 p.m. and will air on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. The February 15 game in Malibu will start at 7 p.m. and could be shown on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. The decision on which channel will broadcast the games will be made closer to each game date.
That will give the Waves at least five appearances on ESPN's networks this season. All three games at the Wooden Legacy will be televised, including Pepperdine's opener against Arizona on Thanksgiving night (November 28) by ESPN2 at 8 p.m.
At last week's WCC Tip-Off event, the Waves were picked fourth in the league's preseason coaches poll, while Gonzaga was named the favorite once again. Pepperdine's
Colbey Ross and
Kessler Edwards made the preseason All-WCC team.
Pepperdine hosts its annual Blue & Orange Madness event tonight in Firestone Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. The season opener is Tuesday, November 5, at California, while the home opener is Saturday, November 9, vs. UC Irvine.
