Pepperdine Hosts #4 Cal on Sunday

This Week: The No. 11 Pepperdine men's water polo team continues non-conference play this week with a matchup against No. 4 Cal on Sunday at 1 p.m.Â
Game #12: Sunday (Sept. 30) at 1 p.m. at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif. : No. 11 Pepperdine Waves (6-5) vs. No. 4 California.Â

Leaders: Senior Chris Dilworth leads the team in points with 32 (27 goals, five assists), followed by a pair of freshman in Sean Ferrari and Balazs Kosa, who have 28 and 26 points, respectively. Dilworth also leads the team in shooting percentage (.614) and drawn exclusions (19).
Last Week: Last week, Pepperdine had its first two home games of the year. The Waves fell to two top-five teams in UC Santa Barbara and Stanford.Â
Statistics: As a team, the Waves have scored 138 goals over their thirteen games, good for 12.55 goals per game. In contrast, opponents are scoring 11 goals per game, thanks to a solid core of goalkeepers having 9.91 saves per game.Â
Opponent: The Golden Bears are coming off two wins against San Jose State and Santa Clara. Their only loss of the year came against Harvard on Sept. 15.Â
Schroeder: Head Coach Terry Schroeder is in his 26th year of coaching at Pepperdine. His first stint of coaching was from 1986-2005, after which he took an eight-year break to coach the United States National Team.
