
No. 10 Waves Host UCSB, Stanford

MALIBU, Calif. – This Week: The No. 10 Pepperdine men's water polo team hosts its first two home games this week. On Thursday, No. 7 UC Santa Barbara comes to Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool, and on Sunday, the Waves host No. 4 Stanford.
Game #10: Thursday (Sept. 20) at 6 p.m. at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif. : No. 10 Pepperdine Waves (6-3) vs. No. 7 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (11-3).
Game #11: Sunday (Sept. 23) at 12 p.m. at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif. : No. 10 Pepperdine Waves (6-3) vs. No. 4 Stanford Cardinal (5-0).

Leaders: Senior Chris Dilworth leads the team in points with 28 (24 goals, four assists), followed by a pair of freshman in Sean Ferrari and Balazs Kosa, who have 24 and 22 points, respectively. Dilworth also leads the team in shooting percentage (.649) and drawn exclusions (15).
Last Week: Last week, Pepperdine took on top-ranked UCLA on the road in Westwood, Calif. Though the Waves outscored the Bruins 6-4 in the second half, the Bruins came out on top, 16-10.
Opponents: UC Santa Barbara has won their past three games, including defeating #5 Pacific 13-11 last Saturday.
Stanford is coming off five straight wins by 10 or more goals, including three by more than 15 goals.
Schroeder: Head Coach Terry Schroeder is in his 26th year of coaching at Pepperdine. His first stint of coaching was from 1986-2005, after which he took an eight-year break to coach the United States National Team.
