Kevin Maeda (Highland, Calif./Citrus Valley HS), a senior competing in his final collegiate event, had the best time of the four, finishing in 14:59.05. Kyle Johnson (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester HS) was the fourth Wave in action and he ran 15:29.87.
"It was a nice meet tonight at Azusa Pacific," Pepperdine Coach Robert Radnoti said. "Jalen and Justin both ran nice races and had PRs. It was a great learning experience for everyone. This was the final race for Kevin so we wish him well as he goes on to dental school. For our other guys, they're sophomores and freshmen who had great experiences this year, and they will get stronger and be even better in the future. It's been a good season for Pepperdine track."
