ITA Fall Nationals ASU Fall Tournament

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Ashley Lahey and Evgeniya Levashova of the Pepperdine women's tennis team fell in the Oracle ITA Fall Nationals Championship Final at Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club on Sunday afternoon, after facing #16 Marie Leduc and Fernanda Navarro of Clemson.

The duo went point-for-point in the first set en route to a tiebreak, but fell 7-5 in the break to go down early. In the second set, the opposition marked a 6-2 win to defeat the Waves.

Pepperdine also closed out the ASU Fall Tournament with a pair of wins in singles and a doubles victory.

F: #16 Marie Leduc/Fernanda Navarro (CLEM) def. #26 Ashley Lahey/Evgeniya Levashova (PEPP) – 7-6 (5), 6-2

ASU TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Singles
1: #7 (newcomer/freshman) Anastasia Iamachkine (PEPP) vs. Rosanna Maffei (KSU) – 6-3, 6-1
2: Adrijana Lekaj (PEPP) vs. Maria Linares (KSU) – 6-3, 6-7 (3), 10-5

Doubles
1: Adrijana Lekaj /Anastasia Iamachkine (PEPP) vs. Wong/Kopcalic (UW) – 6-2

NEXT UP
The Waves closed out the fall tournament season with this pair of tournaments. Pepperdine will be back in the spring on January 18 at the UNLV Tournament in Las Vegas.
