MALIBU, Calif. – The #7 Pepperdine women's tennis team opened UNLV's Freeman Memorial Championships on Friday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. It is the spring season-opening tournament for the Waves.
Adrijana Lekaj and
Anastasia Iamachkine each won their opening singles matches, while Iamachkine and
Jessica Failla, a team ranked #43 in the Oracle/ITA doubles rankings, posted an upset over #7 Caroline Lampl and Kimberly Yee of Stanford in doubles.
