Waves Travel to Long Beach and Gary Troyer Tournament

This Week: The No. 11 Pepperdine men's water polo team plays its first Golden Coast Conference game this week, as it take on Long Beach State in Long Beach. The Waves also travel to Claremont for the Gary Troyer Tournament.Â
Game #13: Friday (Oct. 5) at 7 p.m. at Lindgren Aquatics Center in Long Beach, Calif. : No. 11 Pepperdine Waves (6-6) vs. No. 10 Long Beach State (6-4)
Game #14: Saturday (Oct. 6) at 1 p.m. at Haldeman Pool in Claremont, Calif. : No. 11 Pepperdine Waves vs. No. 15 Pomona-Pitzer (6-3)
Game #15: Saturday (Oct. 6) at 6:20 p.m. at Matt M. Axelrod Pool in Claremont, Calif. : No. 11 Pepperdine Waves  vs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (5-1)

Leaders: Senior Chris Dilworth leads the team in points with 36 (31 goals, five assists), followed by a pair of freshmen in Sean Ferrari and Balazs Kosa, who each have 29 points. Dilworth also leads the team in shooting percentage (.646) and drawn exclusions (22).
Last Week: Last week, Pepperdine hosted #4 California. The Waves outscored the Golden Bears in the fourth quarter, but fell 13-11.
Opponent: The 49ers are coming off three straight losses to California, UC San Diego and UCLA. Pomona-Pitzer is has three straight wins, while Claremont Mudd-Scripps is coming off four straight wins.
Schroeder: Head Coach Terry Schroeder is in his 26th year of coaching at Pepperdine. His first stint of coaching was from 1986-2005, after which he took an eight-year break to coach the United States National Team.
