Water Polo to Honor Seniors on Saturday

MALIBU, Calif. – This Week: The No. 7 Pepperdine men's water polo team will celebrate its two seniors Sam Paur and Jens Cole on Saturday in one of their final games at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool. This year's alumni game will follow Saturday's game. The team will also host Princeton at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Team Leaders: Senior Chris Dilworth leads the team in points with 50 (43 goals, seven assists), followed by freshman Balazs Kosa (49) and senior Sam Paur (44). Dilworth also leads the team in shooting percentage (.536) and drawn exclusions (35).

GCC Leaders: Dilworth's 45 goals are good for fifth-best in the Golden Coast Conference. George Mooney is second in the conference in assists, with 25, behind Lucas Araya of Pacific, and Balazs Kosa is right behind him in 4th with 21. John Claude Marco's 123 saves are second in the conference. Mate Toth has 26 steals, good for fourth in the GCC.

Last Week: Last week, the Waves won their second straight GCC matchup, defeating UC Irvine 13-12, thanks in part to hat tricks from Mikey Dakis, Mate Toth and Sam Paur. On Sunday, the team traveled to Los Angeles, aflling to top-ranked USC, 17-6.

Schroeder: Head Coach Terry Schroeder is in his 26th year of coaching at Pepperdine. His first stint of coaching was from 1986-2005, after which he took an eight-year break to coach the United States National Team.
