MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's swim and dive team defeated Manhattan College 145-97 on Saturday in a dual meet at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool. The Waves took first place in all but two events.
First place finishers for the Waves in individual events were Nicole Matheson in the 200 free (1:58.04), Cybele Jung in the 50 free (:25.87), Khloe McCarthy in the 400 IM (4:47.68), Julia Sneden in the 100 fly (:58.16), Amy Griffin in the 100 free (:54.33) and Trinity Ishikawa in the 100 back (1:00.97). The team of Sammie Slater, Lauren Stigers, Sneden and Griffin won the 200 medley relay (1:52.57), while the team of Griffin, Jung, Ishikawa and Ryane Skinner won the 200 free relay (1:43.43).
The Waves will be back in action on Jan 12, when they travel to Los Angeles for the Lions Cup.
