LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Pepperdine men's tennis team started the LMU invite on Friday. Max Mendelsohn, Dane Esses and Nicholas Baez all won their matches in their respective draws.

Nicholas Baez (PEPP) def. Jeremy Merville (Nevada) - 6-7, 6-3, 7-6

Robert Margitfalvi (Nevada) def. Scotland Garapedian (PEPP) - 6-2, 6-1

Jonathan Aremon (Nevada) def. Felipe Galvao (PEPP) - 2-6, 6-2, 6-1

Doubles

Sander Gjoels-Andersen/Arnaud Restifo (SDSU) def. Max Mendelsohn/Dane Esses (PEPP) - 8-5

Raul de la Torre/Rafael Gonzales Almazan (SDSU) def. Nicholas Baez/Scotland Garapedian(PEPP) - 8-4

TOMORROW

Mendelsohn, Baez, Esses, Garapedian and Galvao will all play singles again tomorrow, with opponents and times to be determined.

UP NEXT

The Waves finish up the fall season this week with the LMU Invite, and will be back in action in January at the NCTC Individual Tournament, beginning Jan 12.
