Indoor Track Season Starts Friday at Northern Arizona

MALIBU, California " The Pepperdine women's track team begins its second-ever indoor season this week at Northern Arizona's Friday Night Duals in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The meet begins at 3 p.m. MT, with the running events starting at 5 p.m. MT in NAU's Skydome. The Waves and Lumberjacks are scheduled to be joined by Arizona, Arizona State, Grand Canyon, San Jose State and Southern Utah.
The Waves made two visits to Northern Arizona in last year's inaugural indoor season. This year, in addition to the Friday Night Duals, Pepperdine will go to Washington's UW Invitational on January 27-28.
The Waves established school records in 10 indoor events last season, and this year's squad will take aim at those times. Among the returners, senior Izzy Connell (Campbell, Calif./The Harker School) set marks in the 60 and 200 meters.
The outdoor season, which is when the Pepperdine men's team will first compete, begins February 18 at Westmont.
