
Track Teams Compete at Ben Brown Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. - Jonathan Rahaeuser and Channing Williamson won heats as the Pepperdine track teams were in action at the Ben Brown Invitational on Saturday.
Rahaeuser (Irvine, Calif./Calvary Chapel HS), a senior, won the fourth heat of the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:58.48. Williamson (Kennesaw, Ga./North Cobb HS), a junior, won the 12th heat of the women's 200 meters in 28.04.
Freshman Rachel Rant (Boise, Idaho/Boise HS) ran the women's 800 meters in 2:21.50, which moved her to third on Pepperdine's all-time top-five list.
In addition to Rant, Pepperdine's top finishers in each event on the women's side were senior Summer Enalen (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral HS) in both the 100 and 100 hurdles, freshman Brynn Henderson (Franktown, Colo./Valor Christian HS) in the 400 hurdles, freshman Syrii Daniel (Yucaipa, Calif./Yucaipa HS) in the 200, senior Kasey Ullery (Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley HS/Moorpark College) in the 400, freshman Katie Engel (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima HS) in the 1,500 and freshman Kelly Smyth (Toms River, N.J./Toms River HS East) in the 3,000 steeplechase.
Freshman Jordan Scandlyn (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton HS) was the men's top finisher in the 1,500 meters.
Pepperdine will be in action again at the Northridge Invitational next Saturday (March 16).
