Pepperdine and Stanford Box Score (March 20, 2010) 
PALO ALTO, Calif. - Jordan Pries pitched a two-hit complete game in Stanford's 10-0 shutout victory over Pepperdine Saturday afternoon at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond.
The Waves have lost their last three decisions and dropped to 6-11 on the season while the No. 23 Cardinal improved to 9-4.
Stanford led 1-0 through the fifth before teeing off for nine runs in between the sixth and eighth innings. Chris Jenkins drove in two runs on his sixth-inning double, Jake Schlander crushed a three-run home run to left off reliever Alex Najera (Anaheim Hills, Calif./Canyon HS) in the seventh, and the Cardinal batted in the eighth around to score three runs on four hits, including a two-run double by Tyler Gaffney.
Junior Matt Bywater (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks HS) lost his third straight game after allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four.
Pepperdine's two hits were registered by Joe Sever (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine College Preparatory) and Cody Yount (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral HS) who doubled to left center.
The Waves put two runners on base in the seventh with one out but were unable to advance them past second as Pires recorded a strikeout and ground out to escape the inning.
Pepperdine looks to salvage the final game of its three-game series at Stanford Sunday at 1 p.m. Starter Robert Dickmann (Woodland Hills, Calif./Notre Dame HS) enters the game with a 3-1 win-loss record.
