COLUMBUS, Ohio - Freshman
Finn Tearney posted an impressive win at #5 singles against a nationally ranked opponent, but the #13 Pepperdine men's tennis team lost 6-1 at #3 Ohio State on Friday night.
Tearney (Wellington, New Zealand) improved to 3-0 in dual matches this spring with his 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over the Buckeyes' Shuhei Uzawa, who is ranked 34th nationally.
But that was the only point for the Waves (2-2), who will conclude their two-match road trip with a contest at Michigan. Because of inclement weather in the area, the match has been delayed to Sunday (Feb. 7) at 3 p.m. ET.
