Alex writes: "This summer I was given the opportunity of a lifetime! I was able to study abroad in the London Religion Program. To say that this experience was life-changing would be a vast understatement. For three weeks, I studied in one of the most magnificent cities in the world, London, England, in an amazing house with great classmates and faculty. I was able to visit places like Big Ben, Westminister Abbey, the Tower of London and the British Museum. Our faculty even worked out our class schedule so that we could travel over a four-day weekend. That weekend I visited Ireland and was able to see the beautiful countryside and even kiss the Blarney Stone for the gift of eloquence. However, all of this pales in comparison to our field trip to Israel. Words cannot describe how awesome it was to sail the Sea of Galilee where Jesus calmed the storm or walk the streets of Jerusalem along the path that Jesus carried the cross to Calvary. Dean Marrs, Dr. Soper, and our tour guide George took us to places like Masada, Megiddo, Jericho, and Bethlehem just to name a few. I even got the chance to float in the Dead Sea! I am so thankful for having this opportunity, and it is something I hope every athlete and student alike has the privilege of doing!"

Joy, who took part in the study abroad program in Florence, Italy, describes some of her photos: "Our first night in Florence we went as a group to go visit the Duomo ... The University funded a soccer (calcio) game for us to attend. The game was Milan vs. Firenze. At the time David Beckham was playing for Milan..so we bought Milan jerseys :) ... We were given a 'long weekend' to travel anywhere we wanted and my friends and I decided to go to the Almafi Coast. We visited Sorrento and Capri and took a boat tour of the entire island of Capri :))) ... We had our farewell banquet at an Italian 'castle' restaurant. The group pic is my anatomy class and our prof. and the second pic is me and my roommates."
