Begemann Wins Egyptian Futures Tournament

“I feel like I’ve been playing really well,” said Begemann. “This is a big win for me and will advance me quite a bit in the rankings.”
Begemann who began his professional tennis career in July after graduating from Pepperdine, advanced past the No. 1 tournament seed Cesar Ferre (ESP), in the second round and went on to defeat No. 8 ranked Anas Fattar (MAR), 6-4, 6-3, to win his second futures tournament this summer. Begemann and his partner Alexandru Cojanu advanced to the semi-finals in the same tournament before being defeated by No. 4 Anas Fattar and Talal Ouahabi (MAR), 6-4, 6-4.
