MALIBU, Calif. -- The Pepperdine track team hosts its lone home meet of 2008 this Saturday (March 1) with its second annual West Coast Track Challenge at Stotsenberg Track.
Five WCC schools -- Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, San Diego San Francisco and Santa Clara -- will take part in the running event. The first event is the women's 3000 meters at 10 a.m. and the meet is expected to last until around 2 p.m.
It'll be a historic day for the Waves as the newly reinstated men's team will make its 2008 debut.
"Our home meet this year promises to be very special," Pepperdine Coach Robert Radnoti said. "It's our second annual event and we are hosting our conference rivals. The weather forecast is perfect and it will be a terrific day for records to fall, as well as the introduction of our men's track team at Pepperdine. We are very excited about this event."
Admission is free for the meet.
