Waves to Face Cal Poly SLO on Saturday

MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women’s swimming and diving team will compete in its second dual meet of the season on Saturday when they travel to face Cal Poly at 11 a.m. at the Mustangs’ Recreational Center.

 

The Waves competed in their first dual meet of the season two weeks ago and topped Cal State Northridge, 184-76. The Waves took first place in 12 of the 14 events en route to the 108 point victory.

 

Three Waves took first place honors in two events, as Loriann Mark (Malibu, Calif.) took first place in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,000-yard freestyle 10:46.39, Haley Wilson (Carpenteria, Calif./Santa Barbara HS) claimed the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle and Ali McLeod (Austin, Texas/Cedar Park HS) posted wins in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly. The Waves also took first place in both relay events.

 

Following the meet with the Mustangs, the Waves will gear up for the PCSC Championships, held from Feb. 13-16 in Long Beach, Calif.
