THOUSAND OAKS, Calif – Pepperdine men’s tennis players Omar Altmann and James Lemke, won their first two matches at the Sherwood Collegiate Cup, Friday, at Sherwood Country Club, to advance to the singles quarterfinals today.
Altmann (Cairo / Egypt), ranked No.66 in the nation for collegiate players, will face the tournament’s No.1 seed, Robert Farah (USC), at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Lemke (Melbourne, Australia) ranked No. 73 for collegiate players, will meet Dominick Mueller (Baylor), also at 1 p.m.
Newcomer Brian Brogan (Los Gatos, Calif. / Los Gatos HS) lost in the first round on Friday, but will play in the consolation round Saturday, at 9 a.m.
