Kennedy HS) defeated Stephen Stege (UCI) 6-4, 6-4; freshman Stuart Keplar (Dallas, Texas / J.J. Pearce HS) defeated Nils Schive (San Diego) 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 and sophomore Mahmoud Kamel (Paris, France /(Lycee Francais du Caire) defeated Alex Sundling (UCI)
7-5,7-6. Junior Troy Aiken (West Hills, Calif. / El Camino Real HS) was defeated by Darryn Young (Cal Poly) 6-2, 6-3.Pepperdine is hosting the event at the Ralph-Straus Tennis Center.
On Thursday, Moreno will play Craig Faulk (Hawaii) at 10:30 a.m. Keplar is scheduled to meet Jeremy Drean (UCLA) at 10:30 a.m. and Kamel faces No. 9 seed Matt Brooklyn (ASU) at 1:30 p.m.
