Pepperdine Announces 2005-06 Men's Golf Schedule

Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine men's golf team, which has won seven straight West Coast Conference (WCC) titles and advanced to the NCAA West Regionals every year since 1999, will make a trip to Japan during the 2005-06 season, head coach John Geiberger announced on Friday.
The Waves, who tied for 10th at the NCAA West Regional Championships and concluded the 2004-05 season 26th in the final Golfweek rankings, open their 2005-06 campaign in Fukushima-Ken, Japan, at The Topy Cup, September 6-8.
Following its season-opening tournament, Pepperdine will have nearly four weeks off before hosting The Club Glove Intercollegiate at Saticoy Country Club in nearby Somis, California, October 3-4. It will mark the seventh straight year of the tournament and the Waves will attempt to win the event for the fourth time in the last five years.
Pepperdine concludes its fall schedule by playing in The Prestige in La Quinta, California, October 17-18, and The CordeValle Classic in San Martin, California, October 31 through November 1.
The Waves begin their spring season at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate at the Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona, January 30-31.
The WCC Championships are scheduled for April 17-18 at Saddle Creek Golf Club in Copperopolis, California. The NCAA Regionals will take place May 18-20 with the West Regionals to be contested at The Omni Tucson National Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.
The NCAA Championships will be held at the Crosswater Golf Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon.
