The first half of West Coast Conference (WCC) action will come to a close Saturday afternoon at Gersten Pavilion as the Pepperdine women's basketball team will square off against the Loyola Marymount Lions in a 4:30 p.m. (PT) tip.

All-WCC candidate Jennifer Lacy continues to piece together a memorable senior campaign. Added to her three WCC Player of the Week honors during the 2004-05 season, the Agoura Hills, Calif., native leads the Waves (7-12, 3-3 WCC) in points per game at 16.4, while true-freshman Daphanie Kennedy has become a notable threat on the hardwood in league play averaging 15.7 ppg. in WCC contests.

LMU (10-9, 4-2 WCC) currently sits second in the conference standings and is led by Jacquelyn Woods' 10.0 and Jevay Grooms' 9.0 points a game. The Lions have won five of their last seven heading into this weekend's tilt.

Pepperdine leads the all-time series by a 28-10 count, including a 12-7 advantage in Los Angeles.

Tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by the Pepperdine men's versus Loyola Marymount at 7 p.m.
