Pepperdine's womens basketball team will have its final tune up before starting West Coast Conference (WCC) action this week as it travels to New Orleans, La., for the 19th Annual Tulane/Doubletree Classic Dec. 28 and 29.

Pepperdine (3-7) is coming off a 1-1 showing at the Hilton Woodland Hills Beach Classic where it downed Wright State before falling to No. 13/16 Vanderbilt in the championship game. The Waves have played in three tournaments this year going 1-1 in all three.

For their efforts Jennifer Lacy and Teiosha George were tabbed to the all-tournament team.

The Waves will play in the second game of the tournament at 6:30 p.m. (PT) as it hosts a 3-3 Georgia State team which is coming off a loss to No. 3/4 North Carolina. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Lady Panthers. The other two teams in the Classic are Stephen F. Austin and tournament host Tulane.

This will be the last test for Pepperdine as it opens WCC play at the University of San Diego on Jan. 6.
