LOS ANGELES (AP) - Ashley Earley made nine of 11 shots and scored 20 points to lead No. 16 Vanderbilt over Pepperdine 78-46 Tuesday night in the championship game of the Hilton Woodland Hills Beach Classic.
Dee Davis had 19 points on 6-for-8 shooting for the Commodores (9-1) and was chosen as the tournament's most valuable player.
Lauren Wenski led Pepperdine (3-8) with 15 points and Jennifer Lacy had 14.
Abi Ramsey added 14 points for Vanderbilt, and Katy Antony led the Commodores with seven rebounds and six assists.
The Waves will return at action on Dec. 28 when they take on Georgia State in the Tulane/Doubletree Classic in New Orleans, La.
