Ben Beekman begins his second year as the Pepperdine women's tennis assistant coach in 2025-26.

During his first season in Malibu, Beekman helped the Waves win the 2025 West Coast Conference Championship and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Beekman was instrumental in the development of six newcomers to college tennis, five of whom were in the lineup. With Beekman's guidance, four Waves earned All-WCC honors, while Alexia Harmon was named the Co-WCC Freshman of the Year.

Beekman comes to Malibu from Dartmouth College, where he served as an assistant coach for the men’s tennis team during the 2023-24 season.

Prior to Dartmouth, Beekman was a volunteer assistant coach for the Notre Dame women’s tennis team, where he helped the Fighting Irish finish with its best record since the 2016-17 season and climb to as high as 14th in the ITA team rankings. Beekman and the Fighting Irish earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they won their first postseason match since 2017.

Beekman began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach at Youngstown State, where he helped the men’s team win its first-ever Horizon League regular-season and tournament titles in 2021-22. That year, the Penguins became the first program in Horizon League history to sweep all four major All-Conference awards.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Holy Cross University (Ind.), where he was a member of the men’s tennis team, in 2021. Beekman earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State in 2022.Â
