PEPPERDINE 2020: Competed in five matches and 10 sets for the Waves as a true freshman, coming in off the bench primarily to serve … Tabbed 15 serve receptions with two errors … Marked one dig.  *The 2020 season was played in the Spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
CLUB: Played for Vegas United Volleyball Club from 2017-20, playing on 18’s most recently … With the 18’s squad, helped the team to a 2nd place finish at the Las Vegas Classic in 2020 and with her 17’s squad, helped the team to a 1st place finish at the Far Western Reno Tournament.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Nevada State High School in Henderson, Nev. in 2020 … While taking classes at NSHS, she played volleyball and performed as an outside hitter at Coronado High School for her freshman through junior campaigns and at Durango High School in her senior season … Lettered three seasons as an outside hitter under Head Coach Amy Schlauder in the 4A Southern Nevada Desert Conference … Throughout her career, amassed 463 kills, 644 digs, 76 aces, 18 blocks, 813 service receptions and played in 254 sets … In her senior campaign, earned All-League first team hoonrs, All-Southern Nevada second team and All-State second team … She was awarded a Player of the Match honor on Nov. 7, 2019 … In the classroom, worked hard to earn All-Academic first team and was a Scholar-Athlete … In her junior season, earned Defensive MVP and was Player of the Match on Aug. 30, 2018 … She was a Scholar-Athlete and earned a spot on the All-Academic first team … Also earned a Player of the Match honor on Oct. 16, 2017 … In 2018, helped her team to a Sunrise Conference title and Green Valley Preseason Tournament Champions status … In her final season, led her squad to a Desert Conference title and a State runner-up finish … In the classroom, earned a Platinum Workkeys Score, was on the President’s list in both her junior and senior years after earning straight-A’s throughout and earned the highest hoor of the Regent’s Diploma.
 
PERSONAL: Majoring in sports medicine … Daughter of Rocky and Terri Steele … Has one sibling, Aspen … Her father, Rocky played baseball at Colorado State University and her great grandfather still holds the pole vaulting record in the state of Kansas with a bamboo pole … When asked why she chose Pepperdine, she stated: “I chose Pepperdine because of the proximity to my family and the prestigious academics, as well as the coaching staff and how they’ve created a family environment.”
