PEPPERDINE BEACH 2020: Frohling joined the beach squad for her first season on the beach in the Spring 2020 season … Saw action in one dual in the No. 5 position, dropping a close contest to #8 ranked Cal Poly’s Adlee Van Winden and Josie Ulrich 21-19, 21-10.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR 2019: Played in 23 matches with 19 starts as a senior … In 85 sets played, amassed 3.61 kills/set on a .219 clip after putting down 258 smashes with 98 errors on 732 swings … Also tabbed 3.00 kills/set, 0.35 aces/set, 1.44 digs/set and 0.48 blocks/set … Recorded five double-doubles in kills and digs with 15 double-figure kill matches throughout the season … Tabbed double-figure digs on four occasions and over 20 digs once … Led the Waves in kills in seven matches and aces in six matches … Amassed a season-high 19 kills in three matches, with the last being against Santa Clara (9/28)… Totaled a season-best six blocks at San Francisco (11/23), four aces vs. Santa Clara (9/28) and 20 digs at San Diego (10/1).
PEPPERDINE INDOOR 2018: Played in all 31 matches last season, collecting 30 starts and 107 total sets of action … Amassed 343 kills with 125 errors on 878 attempts for a .248 hitting percentage, averaging 3.21 kills/set … Totaled 1.01 digs/set (108), 0.45 blocks/set (48), 0.37 aces/set (40) and 3.82 points/set (408.5) … Posted one double-double in kills and digs with 16 kills and a season-best 10 digs in the NCAA Championships first round against Northern Iowa … Tallied 19 double-figure kills and two double-figure digs … Led the Waves in kills and aces in 12 matches, hitting percentage in six, blocks twice and digs once … Posted a season-high 18 kills against Hawai’i (Nov. 6) and three aces in three separate matches.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR 2017: Only Wave to start all 31 matches and play in every one of 118 sets in 2017 … Averaged 3.69 kills/set (435), 0.30 aces/set (35), 2.52 digs/set (297), 0.44 blocks/set (52) and posted 4.22 points/set (498.0) … Led the team in aces and kills in her sophomore season … Led the Waves in kills in 17 matches, aces in 10 and hitting percentages five times … Posted double-doubles with kills and digs in 14 matches … Marked double-figure kills in 25 matches with a season-best 20 kills against Utah Valley (Aug. 25) … Marked double-figure digs in 16 matches … Tallied a season-best 16 digs twice against Utah Valley (Aug. 25) and Long Beach State (Sep. 12) … Amassed a season-best three aces in four matches throughout the season.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR 2016: Had a standout year as a freshman for the Waves, leading the team in kills/set and total kills with 2.49 and 291 respectively … Also led the squad with 858 total attack attempts … Picked up nine aces to average 0.08 aces/set … Produced 108 digs for 0.92 digs/set and 52 total blocks including four solo rejections for 0.44 block/set … Had a Waves’ season-high 22 kills at Gonzaga on Nov. 5, which ranks 8th for most kills in a single-match in Pepperdine rally scoring era history … Picked up a season-best .483 hitting percentage against Harvard at a neutral site on Sep. 10 and tabbed a season-high two aces in the match, as well as against Rhode Island on Aug. 26 … Posted a season-best 10 digs against Lipscomb on Aug. 26 and six blocks against Pacific on Oct. 29 … Led the team with 14 double-figure kill performances and one over 20-kill outing this season … Amassed one double-double in kills and digs … Led the team in kills in 13 separate matches, including the last six-of-seven matches in the season … Led Pepperdine with hitting percentage and aces on five separate occasions each.
CLUB: Played for Oklahoma Peak Performance from the age of 11 … Named Club “Peak Performance” Player of the Year in 2015 and was a nominee in 2014 and 2016 … The club finished top-five at the Junior Open in 2014 and were two-times Colorado Crossroad winners in 2012 and 2013 … The team qualified in the open in 2012, 2013 and 2015 and were Show Me Tournament winners in 2016.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Edmond North High School in Edmond, Okla. in 2016 … Lettered four seasons in the OSSAA 6A league at ENHS under Kimo Aweau as an outside hitter and setter … She earned four-consecutive ENHS MVP honors, picked up four State All-Tournament nods, was named All-OSSAA first team in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and was selected the Central OK Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 … In her senior campaign, she was the OSSAA 6A State Tournament MVP and was named Gatorade Player of the Year (Oklahoma) and Central OK Player of the Year … Frohling was also a 6A All-State selection … In her junior campaign, she tallied her first Central OK Player of the Year honor … Her sophomore season, she tabbed a State All-Tournament team nod … Edmond North was ranked 19th in the country, the highest ranking the school has ever achieved, in 2015 … ENHS won the 2015 OSSAA 6A State Championship and was the runner-up in 2013 and 3rd place finishers in 2012 and 2014 … In the classroom, Frohling was named Junior Student of the Year, nominated for Ms. ENHS, was an Oklahoma Academic Scholar and a member of both the National and Oklahoma Honor Society … She was an AP Scholar with distinction and Valedictorian with distinction.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Michelle and Ralph Frohling … Has one younger sister, Grace … Plans to major in Sports Medicine at Pepperdine … Her career goals including “helping all kinds of athletes to perform the best they can for as long as they can” … When asked why she chose Pepperdine, she stated “it is the perfect fit for me. Between the religious aspect and the competitive academic and athletic atmosphere, I knew it was where God wanted me.” I know Pepperdine will challenge me and make me a better person and athlete” … She can solve a Rubiks Cube in 51 seconds, but is training to get a sub-50 time … She also has a Taylor Swift cover band called “Silhouettes” and knows a lot about German soccer.
