Tochi Oti

Tochi Oti joined the Pepperdine men’s basketball program as its graduate manager for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. He also served as the team’s video exchange coordinator.
 
After earning a master’s degree in learning technologies from Pepperdine in 2018, Oti was pursuing a second master’s degree in finance.
 
Oti was a four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter at Whitman College, an NCAA Division III school in Walla Walla, Washington. He graduated with a degree in economics-mathematics in 2016. He earned All-Northwest Conference second team honors in 2014 and was a two-time team captain. He helped Whitman make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history in 2016, and the Blues reached the Sweet 16.
 
His coach at Whitman was Eric Bridgeland, who once served as an assistant coach and interim head coach at Pepperdine.
 
Oti spent the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach working with the freshman team at his alma mater, Loyola High School in Los Angeles. The Cubs went 22-4 in the regular season and 12-0 in league play. His coaching resume also includes working at “Together We Can” youth camps during his time at Whitman.
 
Oti was born in Inglewood, California, and is a Los Angeles native.
