PEPPERDINE 2019: Had a stellar junior campaign in Malibu … Hit .311 on the year, good for fourth on the team … Led the team in doubles, with 15 … Hit two home runs, tied for third on the team … Third on the team with 23 RBI … Second on team with four stolen bases … Had a .931 fielding percentage as the team’s primary shortstop … Second on the team in walks, with 17, and led the team  in HBP, with 11 … Drafted in the 26th Round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft by the Cincinnati Reds (signed).

PEPPERDINE 2018: Named to the All-WCC second team as a sophomore … Led the team in doubles with 18 (third in the WCC) … Had a .269 batting average with 47 hits … Had the second-highest on-base percentage on the team at .379 … Was a perfect 9-9 in stolen base attempts, leading the team …. Had three three-hit games, which came against Missouri State (3/4), UC Santa Barbara (3/27) and Pacific (4/7)… Led the team in walks with 26 … Drove in three runs at Santa Clara (4/14) … Played mainly second base, compiling a .972 fielding percentage.
 
PEPPERDINE 2017: Had a stellar debut with the Waves and made the WCC All-Freshman team ... Started 51 of the team’s 52 games ... Was fifth on the team with a .249 batting average … Played both middle infield positions, posting a .960 fielding percentage … Led the Waves with 29 runs scored … Drove in 17 runs with 12 doubles and three homers … Posted season-high three-hit games six different times … Drove in a season-high three runs twice, against Cal (3/10) and Pacific (3/25) … Scored a season-best three runs in his second collegiate game, vs. Saint Joseph’s (2/18).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Westside High School, located in Houston, Texas ... Played three years of varsity baseball under coach Mike Barrow … As a senior, hit .537 with 39 RBI and 22 stolen bases … Set school single-season records for batting average and RBI ... As a senior, was named to the all-state 6A first team, named Texas 6A MVP and Texas 6A Infielder of the Year.
 
CLUB: Played six years with the Texas Drillers … Won a national championship with the Drillers when he was 14.
 
PERSONAL: Born in San Diego, Calif. ... Son of Michelle McAfee … Brother to Lisa, Daijon, and Faith … Majoring in sport administration … Chose Pepperdine because “I love the coaching staff here.
