Stankiewicz comes to Pepperdine from UC San Diego. As an assistant coach, Stankiewicz helped the Tritons to a combined 64-41 over two years, including going 38-22 in conference. 

Prior to joining the Tritons, Stankiewicz was an assistant coach at Saddleback College in 2022, helping the Bobcats to an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title.

In college, Stankiewicz was an infielder at Grand Canyon University from 2017-2021. The Lopes won three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) titles during his tenure. Graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Sport Management, Stankiewicz went on to earn his Master's in leadership in 2021.
