HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Oaks Christian High School, located in Westlake Village, Calif., in 2014 ... Played two varsity seasons under coach Tim Penprase … Had a 2.24 career ERA and 71 total strikeouts … As a senior, was named a Los Angeles Daily News Player to Watch, Ventura County Star Athlete of the Week and the Oaks Christian Varsity Pitcher of the Year … Team won a Division 4 CIF championship in 2013 … Earned the Oaks Christian Varsity Baseball Scholar-Athlete Award (given to the varsity player with the highest GPA).
 
PERSONAL: Born in Calabasas, Calif. ... Son of Ricky and Brenda Stoutland … Has one brother, Derek, who also attended Pepperdine … Majoring in business administration … Chose Pepperdine because of the “strong academics, religious emphasis and great baseball program.”
