
Mahanth Chirravuri Selected As Semifinalist for Ben Hogan Award

FORT WORTH, Texas - As announced yesterday, Mahanth Chirravuri has been named as one of 10 finalists for the Ben Hogan Award, presented by Baird.

The senior has been sensational during the 2025-26 campaign, most recently tying for 18th overall at the Western Intercollegiate, the 24th time in 35 career tournaments as a Wave he's placed inside the top 20.

Earlier this spring, he set a program record 11-under 61 at the Amer Ari Invitational. The 61 marks the second time in program history in which a Wave shot 61 in a round, while the 11-under par is the lowest single round score to par in program history.

Chirravuri is also in the running for the 2026 Fred Haskins Award, as announced on March 9, which is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate D1 golfer as voted on by players, coaches, members of the college golf media, and past Haskins Award winners.

This year's three finalists for the Ben Hogan Award will be named on Tuesday, May 12. The trio will attend a black-tie dinner on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25), at the TCU Legends Club in Fort Worth, Texas, where the winner will be crowned.

The Ben Hogan Award annually awards the top men's NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfers based on all collegiate, amateur and professional events over the previous 12 months. The joint announcement was made by Fort Worth Colonial Charities (FWCC), Friends of Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
