Lynn Biyendolo Returning to Malibu, to be Honored at Soccer Match and Hall of Fame Ceremony Oct. 4

MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine women's soccer alumna Lynn Biyendolo (née Williams) '15 will return to Malibu on Saturday, Oct. 4, for a day of celebration that begins with women's soccer taking on Pacific at noon leading up to the Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony in the evening as part of Waves Weekend.

Biyendolo and the 2025 Pepperdine Hall of Fame Class will be recognized at Tari Frahm Rokus Field during the game while the first 100 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative shirt in her honor. Biyendolo is one of the most decorated players in Waves soccer history and now a standout for the U.S. Women's National Team and Seattle Reign of the NWSL. Tickets for Saturday's contest can be purchased here.

"Malibu and Pepperdine will always have a special place in my heart and anytime that I am able to come back and visit it brings me so much joy," Biyendolo said. "Being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year and continuing to create memories at this incredible university is something I will hold dear to my heart. Go Waves!"

Later that evening, Biyendolo will be formally enshrined as part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class in a ceremony at Firestone Fieldhouse. A reception begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner and programming at 5:30 p.m.

Biyendolo burst onto the scene for the Waves as 2011 WCC Freshman of the Year and went on to become a three-time All-West Region and WCC First Team selection with the Waves. Her standout senior year earned her All-American honors and helped lead the Waves to the NCAA Round of 16, which was only the third such trip in program history.

"Any chance I ever get to talk about Lynn, I just tell everyone what an amazing woman of character she is," head coach Tim Ward said. "I think she represents Pepperdine not only on the field, but more importantly, off the field, in an incredible way. Lynn has had an amazing career and on behalf of everyone at Pepperdine Soccer, we love her and we are incredibly proud of her."

Graduating as the program's second-leading goal scorer, Lynn's impact continued professionally as she was drafted by the Western New York Flash in 2015, where she clinched the NWSL title in 2016, winning the Golden Boot and the league's MVP honors. Biyendolo added two more championships with the franchise in 2018 and 2019, and most recently won another with Gotham FC in 2023.

On the international stage, Lynn has been a breakout star for Team USA, having scored 25 goals in 83 appearances with the national team. She played a role in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics squad for Team USA, helping the Americans win a bronze medal in Tokyo and a gold medal in Paris, scoring a goal in group play versus Germany in 2024. Biyendolo also captained the national team for the first time in 2025.

She joins a Hall of Fame class that also includes men's basketball's Stacy Davis, baseball's Mike Gates, Olympic volleyball stars Kim Hill and Chip McCaw, the 2012 AVCA Sand Volleyball National Championship team, swim & dive's legendary coach Nick Rodionoff, plus alumni supporters and donors Ted and Carolyn Porter.
