Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's golf team finished tied for ninth at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at 25-over with a three-day score of 877 (288-295-294).
The Waves beat three teams ranked higher than them in the most recent NCAA rankings - #8 Arizona, #28 UCLA and #35 Clemson, while Lauren Gomez led the squad and finished tied for 27th with a three-day total of 218 (72-72-74).
#4 USC won the tournament at 9-under (843), while #6 Oregon and #5 Texas rounded out the top-three with respective totals of 848 (-4) and 854 (+2).

- Freshman Grace Anderson (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) posted a 2-over 73 with two birdies in her final round. She finished 7-over tied for 41st with a tournament total of 220 (71-76-73).
- Freshman Eunseo Choi (Auckland, New Zealand) finished her first collegiate tournament 8-over with a three-round score of 221 (72-71-78). She finished and tied for 45th.
- Junior Jeneath Wong (Melbourne, Australia) notched a 2-over 74 today. She finished the tournament 10-over after shooting a 223 (73-76-74) and tied for 56th.
- Junior Yingzhi Zhu (Nanjing, China) finished the tournament tied for 68th and 14-over with a three-day total of 227 (75-79-73). Zhu tallied three birdies during her 2-over 73 today.
- Playing as an individual, senior KaYee Kwok (Tianjin, China) tallied a three-round score of 237 (78-79-80) and finished in 84th at 24-over. She collected two birdies in her third round today.
