AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – Pepperdine Beach Volleyball associate head coach Noelle Rooke has earned a second induction into her high school's Hall of Fame, this time to celebrate an unparalleled soccer career. As a member of the Agoura High School Chargers' girls' soccer team, Rooke helped the program achieve an unblemished 93-0 record and capture four state titles.
Rooke was first honored by the Agoura High School Hall of Fame in 2018 for the individual excellence she displayed across three sports, having lettered in soccer, track, and volleyball during her time as a Charger.
Earlier this month, however, the focus shifted to the soccer team's shared dominance. The 1986-1989 teams (of which she was a member in '88 and '89 as a freshman and sophomore) were inducted for their run of four consecutive CIF state championships.
"I was blessed to grow up as a well-rounded athlete," said Rooke. "Training, playing, and competing in several different sports helped contribute to my later accomplishments in life. The teammates I had around me were vital to the shared success we all enjoyed while at Agoura High School"

Her prowess in volleyball earned her a scholarship to Florida Southern College. As a team captain and senior she was named her team's MVP alongside receiving all-conference honors.

From there Rooke transitioned to the coaching world. Her stints have taken her from the south to the midwest and back home to southern California. She has been at the helm of both indoor and beach programs. The eight years she spent at Mercer saw her become the program's winningest coach and win the 2008 Coach of the Year award.

After guiding CSUN's beach squad for four seasons she joined the Waves as an assistant coach in 2023. It was a homecoming of sorts. Growing up just 30 minutes from Malibu, Noelle reminisced on the Pepperdine men's volleyball games and Marv Dunphy camps she attended in her youth. Her husband, Max, has been on the women's soccer coaching staff for 12 seasons.

Under her guidance, the beach volleyball team has seen plenty of success—finishing second in the WCC in 2023 and 2024. She has coached the 2024 and 2025 WCC Freshmen of the Year Winners Kaydon Meyers and Emma Eden and coached ten Waves to the conference's first team during her tenure.

This spring will mark Noelle's fourth with the program. Her positivity and knowledge continue to drive team achievement, exemplified just last weekend when Emma Eden and Maddy Snow punched their ticket to the prestigious AVCA Pairs Championship in Huntsville, Ala. The Waves are currently in the midst of their fall tournament season.

"A sincere thank you to all the coaches, administration, and staff that helped me along the way."
