QUOTABLES
Â
"We had an outstanding showing against the Aztecs, Toreros and Lions today," head coach Ellie Monobe said. "We kicked off the morning with some solid speed and were able to maintain that momentum through the afternoon. We were focused on execution in the afternoon, and I felt that we succeeded in what we wanted to do today. Notable swims came from our gutsy relay wins, and I look forward to another full day of competition tomorrow."
Â
"Today was heavier in volume in terms of diving than we are used to with a full dual meet against San Diego State and then an additional 3-meter event against San Diego" diving coach Monique Demaisip said. "Overall, I was very happy with our performance today. Our consistency is improving and with us finishing second, third and fifth against San Diego I'd say today showcased our strengths, especially in the 3-meter competition. I'm looking forward to seeing how tomorrow goes."
