MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine men's tennis program ends its season-opening six-match road trip with its most marquee match to date, visiting #7 Texas this weekend.
The match originally scheduled for Sunday at #3 TCU has been postponed until further notice.

SERIES HISTORY
Pepperdine has nearly split the all-time series with the Longhorns, going 10-11 against Texas historically. Last season, in the two schools' first meeting in nine years, Texas came away with a 5-2 victory in Malibu. The Waves' last win in Austin came in 2002.
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine dropped a pair of tightly-contested matchups against Pac-12 foes last weekend, falling 6-1 to then-#17 Arizona and 4-3 to Arizona State. Freshman
Maxi Homberg leads the Waves with three wins this dual season against two losses, while #89
Tim Zeitvogel is close behind at 2-1.
Daniel De Jonge checks in at #104 in the latest ITA singles rankings, while De Jonge and Zeitvogel are ranked #38 as a doubles team.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Texas already holds four top-25 wins this season, defeating the likes of then-#13 Florida on the road and then-#12 Georgia, then-#22 California and then-#14 Arizona at home. In its last matchup, the Longhorns fell 4-0 to current #1 and then-#2 Ohio State on the road. The top-ranked singles player in the country, Eliot Spizzirri, is 4-0 this spring, while #112 Cleeve Harper is 4-1. Harper and Spizzirri are 5-1 as a doubles tandem this spring. A host of other Longhorns are ranked by the ITA: #25 Siem Woldeab, #33 Pierre-Yves Bailly, #65 Micah Braswell, #113 Eshan Talluri and #4 Harper/Spizzirri.
