PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's golf team finished up play at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge tied for ninth on Tuesday afternoon, led by a top-20 performance from
Lion Higo who finished 2-under in the final round.

The #37 Waves ended with a three-day total of 881 (292-299-290) at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. As usual, it was an extremely impressive field with 13 of the 16 teams competing ranked in Golfstat's top 50. The Waves tied with #24 Kentucky, while besting local competitors and 12
th-ranked UCLA, as well as #21 SMU and #28 Florida throughout the tournament.Â

- Junior Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) finished strong in the final round, posting four birdies and ending the round 2-under. She tied for 17th overall with a 3-over par 216 (75-72-69) throughout the tournament.Â
- Junior Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) finished tied for 27th after shooting 220 (69-79-72). She marked four birdies in the final round.
- Sophomore Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) ended with 222 (73-74-75) to tie for 37th. She posted a pair of birdies, one on each the front and back nine.
- Freshman Jeneath Wong (Melbourne, Australia) closed up with a 223 (75-74-74) performance. She impressed with an eagle on the 16th hole, while adding birdie on the 18th as well. Only 11 golfers recorded an eagle throughout the tournament.Â
- Yingzhi Zhu (Nanjing, China) tied for 70th at 233 (75-71-77). She posted two birdies in the final round as well.
