MEET RECAP

Jenna Sanchez (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley) and Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS) came in second and sixth with times of 1:04.35 and 1:06.32 respectively in that event to also earn All-PCSC first team honors. Taylor also won an event championship, taking home the title in the 100 back with a 56.24 time.
A host of other Waves earned All-PCSC honors in individual events. AJ Adams (Castle Rock, Colo./Valor Christian HS) took fourth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.57. In the 200 free, Lexi Haymart (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Ponderosa HS) came in fifth with a 1:52.64 time and Paige Tattersall (Granite Bay, Calif./Granite Bay HS) took seventh in 1:53.51.
QUOTABLE
Head coach Ellie Monobe said: "It was a big evening session tonight for the Waves. This is one of our toughest days at our championship and we had a strong showing tonight moving up not only in our finishes but cleaning up some of the details as well. The highlights of tonight were our two PCSC champions -- Kylie Taylor in the 100 back and Charli Sunahara in the 100 breast -- both posting season-best times and doing some pretty remarkable things for the conference at such a young age. I'm looking forward to following the rest of their careers through here at Pepperdine. Having our 400 medley relay become champions was another highlight as that relay escaped us last year. We could not be happier that we were able to secure that win. We have a lot of momentum and are looking forward to continuing pushing the envelope and seeing how far we can go."
