Jarvis Earns WCC Player of the Week

MALIBU, Calif. — Curtis Jarvis has earned West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.

The senior attacker from Huntington Beach HS had a strong week for the Pepperdine men's water polo team. He helped the Waves defeat #17 Pacific 18-11, which clinched a share of the WCC regular season title on Friday afternoon. Then on Saturday, Jarvis helped Pepperdine defeat #5 UC Irvine 13-11 in the regular season finale.

Against #17 Pacific, Jarvis scored one goal on one shot attempt. He also had 4 assists in the contest. Then against #5 UC Irvine, he added two more goals and five assists. Jarvis had a total of three goals in the two games with a .600 shooting percentage. He also dished out nine assists for a total of 12 points in the two games this weekend.

This is the second WCC weekly award for Jarvis, and the third weekly award of his career, as he earned Gold Coast Conference Player of the Week honors on March 3, 2020. This marks the fourth time a Pepperdine player has won the conference's weekly award this season.
On the season, Jarvis has 40 assists and 29 goals while posting a .537 shooting percentage.

Jarvis and the Waves will host a West Coast Conference semifinal game against either California Baptist or Santa Clara on Saturday Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool.
